Name: Dallas Registered Name: Breed: Quarterhorse Gelding Birthdate: 1999 Color: Red Dunn Height: 15.2 hh Adoption fee: $600 Temperament: Dallas is a very gentle and willing horse, calm, and very easy going. He has excellent ground manners, gets along well with the herd, is a very easy keeper, and has good bone, condition, conformation and hooves. He does have a slight bob at the trot, due to a soft tissue injury a year ago to his left front heel. Xrays have confirmed no navicular or arthritis. He has not been worked much in the last year, but allowed to heal, and there is a good chance that he will be sound with more conditioning and strengthening. Dallas is up to date with everything, teeth, farrier, vet, deworming and vacc's. He is a gorgeous boy, and absolutely lovely to be around. Potential Paths: Dallas would be best suited as a pleasure and trail horse once he is sound and feeling fit. He has presently gained a bit of weight and needs some conditioning, and at times is tender-toed when walking on rocky or very hard surfaces. He loves to get out on the trails and has a good forward walk, can go out alone or with others. He prefers western, and a loose rein, and neck reins beautifully. He has no problem leaving the barn, and going out with his rider. He is calm, does not get upset or spook easily, and very much enjoys working.
